At SUN’08 a multimedia exhibition of the innovative projects
developed within “Outdoor Experience Design”,
the first course of specialisation to design and furnish
“Open Door” spaces
by POLI.Design – Consortium of Politecnico di Milano
The multimedia exhibition organised at SUN’08 – 26th International Exhibition of the Outdoor Products – Design, Furnishing, Accessories (Rimini Fiera, October 16-19), offers the possibility to discover the five innovative projects by as many teams of architects and designers selected in Italy and abroad, that where developed within the second edition of “Outdoor Experience Design – Course of high standard training to design and furnish public and private outdoor spaces”, which is organised by POLI.design.
Specialists in Outdoor Design
The course, that has SUN’08 as exclusive Academic Partner, is a very topical professional specialisation for architects and decorators, and is aimed at training a new professional figure for an evolving sector where the spaces transform, and design plays an increasingly relevant and decisive role: in fact today the exteriors tend to be “Open Door” spaces, in continuous connection with the interiors, conceived and furnished to be lived in a fluid way, in touch with the new lifestyles, both in private and public venues.
Appointment at Rimini Fiera on Saturday October 18th
The five projects that are very noteworthy for their creativity and innovation, are entitled 6 Zampe, Innwiilllà, Parcoscenico, Openwork and Nextpo2016, and will be exhibited at SUN’08 in the exhibit area of POLI.design – Consortium of Politecnico di Milano, in hall D5/B5 of the Rimini expo centre. The area is set up by Fishbull Contract with the collaboration of the technical partners La Murrina, Bose.Oikos Fragrances, Parliamone, Overled and Plust.
On Saturday October 18th, 2008 at 12 it is scheduled the presentation of the projects that will be illustrated and commented by POLI.design’s lecturers Andrea Manfredi and Gianpietro Sacchi, landscape architect Patrizia Pozzi, and Sergio Rossi, Director Fair and Communications – SUN’08. The projects can be viewed also at www.outdoorexperiencedesign.it
The concepts were developed by 29 young architects and designers coming also from Brazil, Spain and Germany, who applied their research on the ample garden of the night venue Innvillà in Milan, which was virtually refurbished by the different teams into the outdoor space or either private houses or public premises.
The Academic Partner and Sponsors of Outdoor Experience Design
The course was actively supported by the Academic Partner SUN’08 and the Academic Sponsors Nardi, Palazzetti in giardino and Florim Ceramiche, specialised firms that have offered the attendees Study Grants.
Study Grants for the third edition of Outdoor Experience Design
Study Grants are available for the third edition of the course, which is scheduled from 6th to 24th July, 2009, at POLI.design - Politecnico di Milano (Campus Bovisa). It will include lessons held by Politecnico di Milano lecturers and specialised architects, educational tours to private and public outdoor spaces in Milan, and a final project work.
